Hi there! I’m Hollie Chan and I'm an organizing addict.
Yes, it's true. Some people are addicted to "normal" things like alcohol, or caffeine, or shopping, but not me.
Nope. It's organizing all the way.
It started as a child. I would organize my stuffed animals by type, then by size.
And it was FUN.
Like alot of fun. Give the seven-year-old me the option to organize my Barbie doll clothes or actually PLAY with the Barbies and the clothes would win. Everytime. There was something about putting all of the little spandex pants in order by color that was magical. Maybe it was all of the eighties bubble gum pink, the stretchy fabric, or the way Barbie would actually "assist" me.
Weird, I know. But I couldn't stop.
As I go older, I tried to be "cool" and not care if my friends' came over and made a mess in my room, but in my mind I was frantically rearranging things back in order.
One would think that birthdays, Christmas time, or Easter would be my favorite time of year. WRONG! It was August because that meant school supply shopping! Lisa Frank stickers to coordinate with my Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper AND Lisa Frank pencils. Check! The Walmart school supply section was like my organizing "dealer". I had to keep my little organizing hands in check.
Anyhoo, as I got older I realized that being able to organize ANYTHING was a gift and I am here today to start my journey of sharing my organizing ideas with you.
So, before we press on to why YOU are here (which is the MOST important thing) let's get a few final facts out in the open.
I was a professional organizer in a former life and am on a mission to organize my way through motherhood, one space at a time and help YOU along the way.
I’m a mother of three boys three and under! Yes, it is crazy and yes, I actually might BE a little crazy for having three children in 2.75 years, but this is the hand I was dealt, so I’m playing it.
Give me 10 minutes in a disorganized space with a cup of coffee and I am in HEAVEN! The more disorganized, the better.
I love Jesus, my family, organizing, coffee and witty people. In that order.
OK. Enough about me, I want to talk about you.
I know you.
No, like I really do. I know you are overwhelmed with kids, and
work, and money, and marriage and family and…..well life.
I know you want your home to be well kept and --forget Pinterest-worthy organized-- just organized enough to know that you aren’t going to find that can of corn you’ve been looking for in the back of your kids’ closet in about two months.
I know you want to come home and not scan your cluttered entryway and want to run back into your car and hide under the floor mat.
I know the clutter is eating you alive.
I know because these are modern times and everyone is busy with appointments, and soccer, and dance. Even the dog has playdates.
I know there isn’t enough time in the day to get it done.
I know you because I AM you. And I am here to help you set up organizing systems to get back your house.
I am on a mission to inspire, motivate and encourage moms of young children to crawl from underneath that pile of clutter and plant your MOM flag right on top in glorious victory.
Will it be tough? Yes.
Will you want to quit? At least ten times.
Will you ugly cry? It’s totally possible.
But, if you stick with me, WE will get it done together. Scouts honor.
There is no time like the present, SO LET’S GET STARTED!
